Student & Participant Privacy Policy
Your privacy is our priority

At BYRLEARNING, LLC, we understand the sensitivity of working with students and minors. This policy outlines how we collect, use, and protect information within our Base44 custom apps, Google Classroom hubs, and internal databases.
In accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not collect more information from students than is reasonably necessary to participate in the BYR Learning curriculum.
Student Data:
We collect names (or pseudonyms) and progress data (Shell Points, module completion).
Nature Logs:
Reflections or photos uploaded by students are kept in a private, secure environment accessible only by the assigned instructor and BYR admins.
No Marketing to Minors:
We never use student data for advertising or third-party marketing.
Educational Progress:
To track learning outcomes and provide feedback within the 16-module framework.
Reporting:
To generate "Impact Reports" for schools and non-profit partners to help them meet grant requirements.
Support:
To troubleshoot technical issues within the Base44 or Canvas environments.
BYRLEARNING, LLC utilizes industry-standard encryption and secure hosting via Base44. Access to student data is restricted to ArMarlon Barbour (Master Instructor) and authorized institutional leads (Principals/Directors).
Schools and non-profits retain the right to request the deletion of their student data at any time. Upon termination of a license, all student-identifiable data will be purged from our active databases within 60 days.
While our curriculum lives on Base44, we may utilize Google Classroom, Canvas, or Square for specific functions. These platforms maintain their own rigorous privacy standards, which we vet to ensure they align with our "Students First" philosophy.
